👋 Hi!
I’m Wafa Aissa, a postdoctoral researcher passionate about deep learning for natural language processing and computer vision. My work focuses on creating models that are not only effective but also interpretable and user-centered, bridging the gap between advanced AI and real-world human needs.
Currently, I am a first-year postdoc at the Cental lab, UCLouvain working on AI for inclusive languge technologies as part of the iRead4Skills Horizon Europe poroject.
I recently completed my PhD at Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers Paris (CNAM), in the CEDRIC lab, under the supervision of Prof. Michel Crucianu, where I focused on neural module networks for compositional visual reasoning, developing methods to make AI models more interpretable.
I hold a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from Sorbonne Université (UPMC), Faculty of Science and Engineering, Paris, France. I specialized in core areas of AI, including machine and deep learning, natural language processing and information retrieval, computer vision, and symbolic AI.
